Harriet hears your views

Harriet Harmen, Deputy Leader of the Labour Party, listened to the views of South Thanet residents when she visited Ramsgate High Street with Stephen Ladyman in August.

Harriet is backing South Thanet Labour Party's Green campaign but she was also keen to hear peoples opinions on the economy, the benefit system, crime, immigration and affordable housing, issues of real importance here in South Thanet.

She made clear the government's commitment to help first time buyers by building more homes and making sure many of them will be affordable or for rent.
