Following the success of last years inaugural event Steve celebrated Veterans Day 2009 at the Clarendon House Arts Centre in Ramsgate with a number of South Thanet veterans and their families. Hundreds of people turned out to visit a Community Fair at Tesco Broadstairs Extra, it was one of twenty stores selected nationally to host a Community Fair. Twelve Charities, twelve food and drink suppliers a national barbecue competition and local face painter, all played their part to encourage the local community to volunteer for local charities and organisations.
