Stephen Ladyman working for South Thanet

Welcome to my website. As well as telling you about my work this web site is designed to give you the opportunity to tell me what you think about the key issues that affect us in South Thanet.

The more you help me by giving me your opinions the more I can shape events in our community in the way that you want.

Learning the ropes - Steve supports Skip2Bfit

Steve awards the trophy to the winners of the School Jnr Cup (St Peters).

Steve joined school children at Callis Grange Infant School during a visit by Skip2Bfit creator John McCormack, a local South Thanet resident and former ABA Ranked Heavyweight of Great Britain.

The Skip2Bfit initiative is now a nationwide programme and has visited over 500 schools and seen over 140,000 children since it started by John in 2002. The reaction has been overwhelmingly positive.

The programme incorporates lessons in numeracy, science and healthy eating, centred around a drive to get kids skipping again in the playground.

Steve managed 72 skips in 2 minutes; the children did quite a bit better!

Steve later attended the Skip2bfit Thanet Skipping challenge on the 14th March at the Ramsgate Sports Centre.

School children from all over Thanet took part in the much enjoyed event, where Steve handed out prizes with Steve Ward (mayor of Ramsgate) and Councillor Goodwin.
